Location
Sliven is situated 300 km east of Sofia, 110 km away from Bourgas – the biggest commercial port in Bulgaria, 130 km from the Greece border and 130 km from the Turkey border.
The town is situated on the railway line №3 and on the international route E-773 connecting Sofia and Bourgas.
Through the mountain passes, in the Eastern part of the Balkan range, where the city is situated, important roads connect North and South Bulgaria.
